Very exciting stuff… PARRA for CONVERSE (RED) CHUCK TAYLOR HI // SATURDAY (08.28) RELEASE:
“Artist, illustrator, graphic designer and music maker, Pieter “PARRA” Janssen, forged his name as a graphic artist early-on. Hailing from Amsterdam , he is now widely known for his eye-catching colorful characters, cheeky posters, numerous design collaborations, his band Le Le and his clothing company Rockwell. For his version of the Chuck Taylor All Star shoe, PARRA chose to create a khaki suede version featuring a playful take on prep. In true PARRA spirit, the pattern is a departure from the standard repeat print and features a more ironic version with cherries complete with legs and stiletto heels. “I wanted to incorporate the color red, and cherries came up. I wanted to go for a kind of preppy look, but I didn’t want it to be so serious, so I incorporated the cherry character!” says PARRA. Even the lining evokes that country club feel with a menswear cotton twill in a stand-out dark pink. Accenting the shoe, monochromatic bright white rubber makes up the shoe’s rubber rands. This release is limited to 360 pairs in the US.” -Converse First String. We will have 24 pairs for the release this Saturday (08.28). Doors open at 1100A. First come, first served. The Jack Purcell Racearound is one of the best shoes of this year. Clean lines, no extended rubber toecap that is usually found on JP shoes, supple garment leather upper, round laces…ugh! So official. I’m talking like all day, err’day type wear. CONVERSE CHUCK TAYLOR CLEAN CVO LOW:
What a difference a little facelift to an upper can do. Let me introduce you to the Clean CVO Chuck in grey suede and black suede (not pictured). I am all about both of these shoes. (I’m pretty much all about everything pictured in this newsletter, which is just bad news for my wallet. *sigh*). This shoe is one of those that you see it on someone and think “ok, suede chucks” and then you do a double take when you see the upper better. DEE & RICKY for G-SHOCK + G-SHOCK NEW ARRIVALS:

Timberland did up a beautiful 4 eyelet Vibram outsole boot for Stussy’s 30th Anniversary. The upper is a rugged suede with leather collar, hexeyelets, 2 round lace options, leather lining, and that ultra comfortable, grippy Vibram outsole. If you are looking for a boot for this season’s cold front, then this just might be the one. Converse/Jack Purcell has consistently turnt out some of the best shoes the last couple of years. This white leather upper or distessed brown leather upper JP BRG OX takes cues from mens’ dress shoes with the upper details. The thick, EVA insole is very comfortable. New Jack Purcell nubuck Boat Mid. The boat shoe is such a classic silhouette-it can be done properly so many ways and I’ll big up every last one of them.
